Flooding is possible - be prepared
River levels remain high but steady at the Walcot river gauge as a result of recent rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Flooding is affecting low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Wolverley to Newport. Other locations that may be affected include Market Drayton, Wem and Rodington. No further rainfall is expected over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 5pm on Monday 18/11/2019, or as the situation changes.
