Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels are rising at the Haw Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to begin overnight between 3am and 5am. We expect flooding to affect Abbots Court, Deerhurst. Predicted Peak at Haw Bridge 5.0 to 5.3m on Sunday morning, 24/01/21. No significant rain is forecast in the next 48 hours, but we expect river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by 11:00am on Saturday, 23/01/21, or as the situation changes.
