Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels remain high at the Mythe Bridge and Upper Pound river gauges. Flooding of property, roads and farmland continues. Flooding may affect properties and roads in and around Severn Ham, Tewkesbury. Predicted peaks at the Mythe Bridge river gauge is between 4.4 to 4.8m on Thursday, the 27/02/20 and at the Upper Pound river gauge is between 4.3 to 4.7m on Thursday, the 27/02/20. Further rain is forecast over the next 24 hours which may cause river levels to raise again. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 2am on Monday, 24/02/20, or as the situation changes.
