for Flood warning in force now River Severn at Northwood, Bewdley

Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels have risen at the Bewdley river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible from 11am today, 22/01/21. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Northwood. Predicted Peak:- Bewdley 5.2m to 5.4m 23/01 Saturday afternoon. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and checking defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 18:00 on 22/01/21, or as the situation changes.
