for Flood warning in force now River Severn at Upper Arley

Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels have risen at the Bridgnorth river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected. We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in and around Upper Arley. Predicted Peak at Bridgnorth 5m to 5.3m overnight tonight, 22/01/21. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by 10am on Saturday, 23/01/21, or as the situation changes.
