Coronavirus (COVID-19): how we're protecting our flood warning service

for Flood warning in force now River Severn at Bridgnorth

Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels are rising slowly at the Bridgnorth river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect properties on Severnside, Severn Terrace, Riverside and local caravan parks. Predicted peak: Bridgnorth 5.1m to 5.2m Saturday morning 23/01/21. No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 5pm on Saturday, 23/01/21, or as the situation changes.
