Flooding is expected - immediate action required

River levels continue to rise at the Evesham river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected over the next few days. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in Wyre Piddle including Wyre Piddle caravan park. Eckington Road impassable. Predicted peak:- Evesham 3.4m to 4.1m overnight Thursday 14/11/19. Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences and clearing weed screens. Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 6 am on Friday 15/11/19, or as the situation changes.
