Flood alert for Ginge Brook
Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are falling on the Ginge Brook following heavy rainfall overnight. Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible over the coming days, especially in the Steventon area. The forecast for this week remains unsettled. River levels are expected to continue gradually falling but will be sensitive to further rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated by Friday 03/05/2024, or before if the situation changes.
